House of Fools
The Rise and Fall of Mooseknuckle

Hey everyone!  This is the first post I’ve done since I’ve been in the band and hopefully I will be doing more in the near future.  Quite honestly, I don’t have a whole lot to say, but I will reflect on the past couple weeks for you guys as things have been going down in the group.

The last couple of shows we’ve played have been extremely successful considering the fact that they were out of town and to brand new ears.  We’ve really tried to get our foot in the door in some of Virginia’s markets and raise some hype about the band in areas such as Roanoke, Blacksburg and Richmond.  We’ve made some awesome friends so far and we’re all pretty thankful for that.

This past Saturday we had a special show at Greene St. under the alias “Mooseknuckle.”  I wouldn’t even call it a show.  I would call it House of Fools going up on stage, goofing off, playing a bunch of covers, drinking generous amounts of beer and wrapping everything up with a good old fashioned band fight.  Needless to say, everyone had a great time, though to be quite honest, I don’t know if we’ll ever do that again.

We’re all working hard trying to book shows and keep the wheels turning in this band.  For those that don’t know, its extremely hard to do.  Momentum gets lost, life gets in the way, money becomes an issue.  These are just a few elements that we all have to deal with on an almost daily basis.  On a lighter note, things are happening.  Specifics aside, they are extremely positive and we’ll keep you posted in the near future.  Thanks for following!

Jack
